Description
Description
Alginate Dressing is a sterile, highly comfortable, and absorbent primary wound care dressing used on moderately to heavily exuding wounds. The dressings are soft, conformable, and easy to apply in the cavity or irregular-shaped wounds.
Working Principle
- When the medical alginate dressing is in contact with the wound exudate, sodium alginate is formed through ion exchange, which can absorb a large amount of liquid, which is 5-7 times that of gauze.
- Sodium alginate absorbs water until it is saturated. After absorbing exudate, it expands and acts as a gel. The gel is conducive to creating a moist environment for wound healing, and can be completely peeled off without leaving fibers on the wound surface.
Application
- Treatment of exudate and local hemostasis.
- Moderate and severe exudates, and lacunar wounds such as
- bedsores, bedsores, and bedsores.
- Diabetic foot ulcer wounds, lower extremity venous or arterial ulcer wounds.
