Description
Silicone wound contact layer dressing is a primary dressing for use when adherence to the wound is a potential problem. It’s a soft, thin, transparent dressing that conforms to the shape of wounds. It is used to treat areas with skin tears and abrasions, foot and leg ulcers, blistering, and partial/full thickness wounds. The absorbent pad can be changed without damaging the primary silicone wound contact layer.
HOW TO USE
- Clean the wound and surrounding skin, then remove the release film
- Apply the dressing over the wound.
- Place a secondary dressing, such as a foam dressing, super absorbent core, or or gauze sheet.
- Fix the secondary dressing on the top of the layer.
